Your New Position
We are looking for like-minded electronics engineers to work at our state-of-the-art office and manufacturing facility alongside some of the finest scientists in the world.
Being successful in this role will mean that you will own the development of reference design projects. The goal of which is to design, implement and optimize hardware and software. You will be a key interface between the high-tech UV-C LED products developed by Silanna and the customers who develop solutions for high-value problems.
Successful candidates will have the opportunity to become an expert in the UV industry by being provided with product training by highly experienced engineers and scientists before they hit the ground. To ensure your ongoing development success as a specialist in this area, continuous on-the-job training will be provided.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Design, integration, verification, debugging, and documentation of UV systems.
- Analog and digital circuit design.
- Create circuit schematics, generate PCB layout, and design mechanical components required for jigs and enclosures.
- Integrate optical and optomechanical elements for validation.
- Perform data acquisition, analysis and produce reports.
- Organise and conduct tests as per the test plans.
- Create application notes and design guides.
- Design and simulate systems using CAD tools such as Alitum, Solidwork, Zemax, COMSOL etc.
- Programming using popular scientific software such as LabView, Matlab, Python, C/C++ etc.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will be degree qualified in any engineering or science discipline that involves electronics as a major and have at least two years of experience working on analog and digital circuit design. Your aptitude to solve complex problems will fit you well into this role.
Amongst your many personable attributes, you will be proactive, analytical, with a keen eye for detail and thrive on working with others to solve technically challenging problems. You are self-motivated, and able to work effectively with others as well as independently with the assigned task.

Our world-class UV-C LEDs, developed by the best minds in this industry, are used in applications such as disinfection and sensing. At the application engineering team, we create reference designs to help customers evaluate Silanna’s advanced UVC emitters in realistic operating conditions and optimise their systems for the best performance.
This growing multi-disciplinary team works closely with the other bright minds at Silanna to find solutions for uncommon problems. In essence, these reference designs have been built to get the best out of Silanna’s UVC emitter for a customer’s high-value problems.
