Sr. Staff UHV Power IC Design Engineer

Location: San Diego, CA

The Sr. Staff UHV Power IC Design Engineer role will primarily include Low, Medium and UltraHigh Voltage (700V) IC design used in AC/DC Power conversion. The Designer will have a variety of responsibilities including:

  • Research and development of state-of-the-art analog and mixed signal products for AC/DC markets from definition to production release
  • Technical leadership during IC development including peer mentorship
  • Collaboration with other functional teams during product development
  • Development of products to meet performance and cost targets per schedule
  • Limited travel – 0 to 2 times per year

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • BSEE Required; MSEE or PhD preferred
  • 12+ years professional experience in Power Management including analog and mixed signal design. 7+ years of experience in UHV design in AC/DC Power Conversion
  • Experience serving as a Design Lead
  • Extensive experience in Analog integrated circuit design and analysis
  • Extensive experience In Power electronics and switched mode power supplies
  • Able to Utilize CAD tools for analog/mixed signal simulation and layout
  • Application of device physics and fabrication processes toward IC design
  • Results driven with strengths in communicating and meeting project schedules
  • Verilog-A, Verilog-ams or HDL language and simulation experience is a plus
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills required
  • Proven track record taking products from initial definition to mass production
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams
  • Creative and Innovative
  • Strong knowledge of parasitic and noise analysis
  • Knowledge of 1.8V to 700V processes
  • Strong knowledge of best Layout practices
  • Strong analytical and debug skills
